Cake pops are lollipop-shaped cakes. Cake crumbs are blended with icing or chocolate and molded into small spheres and attach to a lollipop stick. After that, balls are dipped into the chocolate or icing and decorate with sugar sprinkles. This is the basic cake-pop-making method. However, nowadays we may get a wide variety of different shaped cake pops. Here I have made a basic cake pop pendant using air-dry clay.
It would be really beneficial while creating food miniatures if you are familiar with the actual making process for that particular food item. For making this cake pop pendant, first I had made a vanilla cake color sphere shape with air dry clay, then I attached it with a lollipop stick and when it got dry I dipped it in the brown color clay which I prepared in a melted chocolate consistency. Then before getting it dry I just sprinkled the colorful tiny clay pieces which I made similar to sugar sprinkles. It’s pretty wonderful if you create a small bitten look to show the inside portion of food miniatures to achieve the real look. I had given a bitten look with the help of clay tools. As you can see, the method of creating food miniatures is very similar to the process of making real food.
